It was a 4D3N hotel and Canopy Walk inspection. The plane from Singapore was delaｙed for 2 hr. I arived at the hotel at 2100hrs. The next day which was the main part of my inspection, Canopy Walk.

Canopy Walkway
Exotic Borneo - Pick up time: 0730hrs (Tanjung Aru) 0830hrs (Shangri La Rasa Ria)
Journey from Tanjung Aru - Rasa Ria is about 45-60mins

Assemble at 0730hrs at hotel lobby. Driving for about 45mins (smooth trafiic) to Rasa Ria for 2nd pick up point. Along the way to Mount Kinabalu for driving about 1 hour, it is necessary to stop for a 15mins rest for toilet & beverage break in order to continue our journey for another 1 hour drive till we arrive at the foot of Mount Kinabalu where Kinabalu Park is located.

Upon arriving Kinabalu Park, we decided to go for a canopy walk which is located at porting hot spring.
Walking past the public & private room of hot spring & rock pool, we came to the entrance of canopy walkway where we need to pay a fee of RM5 if you have a camera with you.

Along the way to the peak of canopy walkway, we will find a place for you to rest if you are feeling tired in order to carry on. At the peak, you will see a long string bridge which you must pass through it in order to finish the canopy walk as both the path are to separate walk. It is so fun & interesting that you will never forget.

Approximately at 1300hrs, we had our lunch at the restaurant which is just 3min drive to nature park where wild orchid are located. Certain wild orchid lifespan is just 2-4 days after which they will wiltered. The season for wild orchid is on rainy season which is on November and December. January - March no flower is blooming.

Hotel inspection begin on this day and ended late in the evening. I manage to find some time to visit Sabah night market, where you can find clothes, toys, bags, shoes & handicraft etc. Sabah is the best place in Malaysia for cheap & delicious seafood. I do not manage to try their seafood as my schedules was tight.

I also manage to find a time to visit KK town which is 45mins from Rasa Ria Resort on my last day of my trip. In the morning, I visited the heritage village which is located near Sabah Museum. It is a place where you can explore the traditional houses of some of Sabah’s ethnic communities without prying into their privacy.

For my conclusion, for those who are keen in Sabah culture, seafood & local stuffs, they can stay at city hotel which will be much more convenience.

For those who like sea & beaches, they can stay at resort hotel like Shangri La Rasa Ria or Nexus which both have a long beautiful beach.
